1920s Murder Mystery Event

1920s Murder Mystery Event

Grant & I went to a 1920’s themed Murder Mystery Dinner Event at Franchesco’s over the weekend. It was an Italian mob themed wedding. We had been looking forward to it for months!

We saw back at the end of November that tickets would be going on sale in early December & we asked some friends if they wanted to join us. We got VIP tickets & I’m glad we got them right away, the event sold out quickly! We’ve been going to Franchesco’s on date nights for about 10 years & this is the first time they’ve done something like this (It was hosted by the Rockford Symphony Orchestra as a fundraiser.)

It was fun seeing everyone dressed up. We always dress up when we go out, but rarely see so many other people dressed to the nines!

Since the event was scheduled to be over at 10pm & an hour from our house, we got a hotel room & had a little 24 hour getaway. It was lovely. Kevin & Sue joined us, so we were able to have a leisurely 2 hour breakfast together. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn & had a positive experience. We have stayed at several different Hiltons & it has been mostly positive. (3/5)

Grant says The Sidecar & The Grasshopper drinks at Franchesco’s were very good, although the Grasshopper would be better in the summer as it was like a milkshake.

The four of us. 🙂

They brought me a half piece of cheesecake with some chocolate on it (like someone had used a dirty fork to cut it, or like it was half eaten). The picture didn’t turn out well, but it made me laugh so hard. I didn’t eat it, I couldn’t get past that & it’s better that way anyhow as it would have been a huge cheat for me. 🤔😂

I’m thankful to say that I’m starting to feel better each day, so I was really able to enjoy it! I’m so grateful! 🥰
