4th of July

We went up to Mt Morris (12 minutes away, so pretty close!), spent a few hours hanging out, walking around, eating funnel cakes (because why not? It’s a special treat a couple times a year!) & watched the parade. It was hot, but not as bad as some years. At any rate, by the time we got home late afternoon, we were pretty exhausted & only a few kids stayed up to watch the fireworks. We are very fortunate to be able to see the fireworks from our back deck. Sadly, I could not get any good pictures of the fireworks.
