“Draw With Me” Week 36
Hey guys!! So, the first week of Inktober is done, I’m really happy with how things turned out!! Of course, there are things I would change and things I could do better…..but hey! For a first try, it’s not bad!!
Meet Aando! I think I might have drawn and shared him before??? But I don’t remember so I’ll just re-introduce him to you. Aando is a mechanic/inventor his best friend/pet is a droid named Octavious whom Aando has programmed to be able to speak in basic (English essentially). He is a man of business, but besides that, he is a vigilanty, with a cover of being a guard-for-hire mercenary. So, the prompt was dream and I thought it was perfect for Aando because a big part of his story (I mean, it’s not THAT big…..but its big enough to be a thing) is he had nightmares and so doesn’t sleep much (coffee is his best friend and he is a serious addict……poor boy needs help) so anyway, I thought he would be perfect for this prompt.

Meet Gerald! He is an Arachnaphone, a humanoid species with 8 eyes, 2 fingers, and an opposable thumb on each hand. Their fingers are more like claws though. They have fangs and semi-fuzzy skin. The “horns” on his head are his spinnerets, (yes, they might remind you of a spiders mandibles…….no comment) they secrete several sticky strands of web which Arachnaphones bring forward and spin rigorously into a single string. (Fun fact, if they want to make a thicker, stronger rope, they create what is known as a Spinners Circle. Many participants are needed for this and is often done as a communal gathering with a fellowship meal provided afterwards.) The prompt for day 2, was Spiders……but of course you probably already guessed that 😆

Day 3 was Path! Yeaaaaah I knooooow I was supposed to create a new character each day based off the prompt……but i got stuck 🥲 BUT LOOK!!!! I still included someone!!! look closely on the stairs leadingup the tower. His name is Christopher, and that is his home. Or at least, the room at the top is, which is why he is climbing up.

Meet Brom!! ……again,…… this one I know I’ve shared before. But anywho, Brom is an orphan who Aando took under his wing. After a kidnapping attempt. (I say attempt, but in actuallity, they DID kidnap him……but fortunately for Brom [unfortunate for the would be kidnappers] Aando is NOT someone you want to cross. He can and WILL mess you up.) Aando decided to teach him MMA for self defense (MMA stands for Mixed Martial Arts) The prompt was dodge and I was ORIGINALLY going to draw Brom dodging through a crowd but it was kinda complicated with so many components (perspective, so many people in the crowd, vehicles, buildings, etc.) So I improvised.

Meet Cruk!!! He is but a simple farmer and humbly at your service. He has just been handed his call to adventure if you will. A map, to who knows where. From who knows whom. The traveler who gave it to him disappeared as suddenly as they appeared and left him holding a map he can’t read. He looks at it in confusion, trying to make out the lettering and landmarks. Unfortunately, he is illiterate, so his call to adventure seems to fall on deaf ears. The Prompt was Map, and I would have indeed drawn the map itself, but since I needed to draw a person this just had to do.

Day 6, Prompt, Gold. Meet Khalen!! He is a Galen, sea creatures kinda like merfolk but based off of Blue Sea Dragons. He finds a sunken crate full of gold bars, but the gold isn’t the only thing being based off of the prompt. I chose Khalen specially for this prompt because he has a heart of Gold, always willing to lend a hand. And super friendly! He loves exploring and finding new things!

And last but not least, this is a birthday present for a friend so PLLEEEEEASE!!!! NO ONE TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS UNTIL AFTER MONDAY!!!!!! I BEG OF THEE!!!!! anyway, meet Sabine. A character from Star Wars Rebels. I turned her into a human cat 😆 EXPLANATION!!! my friend has a cat……named Sabine……and she loves Rebels (hence the name) so I reeeeeally hope she likes it…..we’ll see, I guess.
And that’s it for today! I’m sorry for the late post. We’ve been super busy, I also haven’t finished today’s drawing, so I guess you’ll see that next week….byyyeeeee
