Gratitude Post
Sundays are going to be our normal day for a Gratitude Post, but I just felt an overwhelming need to share an extra one this week. 🥰
I am so grateful for answers. To feel validated & understood is so HUGE. I really wonder how many years I’ve been dealing with these same underlying issues – is it possible that I really don’t have fibromyalgia as I was diagnosed with 4/5 years ago? Is it possible that the daily headaches & migraines I have dealt with for the past 15 or so years is related? We may never know, but at any rate I am excited & hopeful for the future & that I may feel better than I ever have. I can’t really think of many times in the past 15 years that I’ve really felt WELL.
So I’m also thankful for HOPE. The hope that God offers has carried me through a lot & I would not be the person I am without it.
1 Peter 5:10 “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”
I cling to these verses. Two of my long-time favorites:
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Roman’s 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
The other night this verse was on my mind a lot:
2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
I was reminded over & over that God will give me the strength I need to get through this journey just as He has for so many other trials He’s helped us through. And I’ll come out stronger on the other side. If this is what it takes, so be it.
Thank you for listening, for the prayers & encouragement. It really means SO much to me! I’m thankful for YOU!
I’m also grateful for smoothies & that I had pea protein powder & that pea is on my acceptable list! 🙂
