Illinois State Fair 2019

We spent the night in Springfield so that we could be fresh for the day at the State Fair.

Well, that may have backfired as the night at the hotel was not relaxing & the beds really messed with Grant’s back. It took 3 hours to get Ellie to sleep, but thankfully once she fell asleep, she slept all night.

Nevertheless, we had a good trip and chose to make the best of the situation.

At the hotel: Ellie found the TV remote & was playing with it like a Wii remote. Lol

Xanna during her judging at the State Fair. She took her short story to the State Fair. She did not place, but received some great feedback, which is helpful.
There was this young fox running around outside the 4H building at the State Fair. Look at how close he was to people! We kept seeing him running around all over the grounds.
