Basalmic Pork Shoulder “Steaks”

Basalmic Pork Shoulder “Steaks”

With pork prices on the rising, I have tried a new pork cut since it was on sale. I made a batch for Lexa to put in the freezer & have some meals (since she’s not able to eat most other foods). It was so successful I found it at another store also!

Start with Pork Shoulder Steak…. also sometimes listed as Pork Steak.

Sprinkle it liberally with salt

I chopped up a couple onions, placed them at the bottom of the instant pot, the poured in 2 C of hot beef broth. Then I layered the salted pork steaks. Every few I poured some basalmic vinegar to marinade it. Keep layering & seasoning.

Then cook at high pressure for about 20-30 minutes depending on if you want it falling apart or not. Its turns out really moist & tender!

The pork shoulder steak is a bit fattier cut of meat, so it does well being cooked in the instant pot, or in a slow cooker at high heat for at least 3-4 hours with the same instructions.
