French Fries: Crispy, not Limp

French Fries: Crispy, not Limp

Lizzy has discovered a way to make frozen french fries more crispy & delicious.

We start with any frozen, unseasoned french fries… we like to buy this big bag from Costco, it’s less than $6 for 8 lbs! Second best option is usually the Aldi bags that are about $2 for 2 lbs.

Toss the fries in oil…because we buy the big bag at Costco, once we open it, we put 1/3- 1/2 in freezer bags for another time, so we use the gallon ziploc freezer bag to coat & toss it in oil first, then save the leftovers, so it saves dishes &/or bags. Then the next time when we pull it out of the freezer, we already have the bag to add oil to & shake it up. You can add seasonings at this point or wait until they are on the tray & sprinkle over the fries.
Lay the oiled fries out on a cookie sheet…we use foil because it saves time on cleanup, but I know there’s controversy about using foil.. do what you prefer. 😀
Sprinkle with salt, parsley, garlic, onion, pepper, etc… whatever your favorite seasonings are. Then bake as instructed.
