Cantigny Park Day Trip Part 2

A few more pictures from our Day Trip to Cantigny Park….

Wow! How would you like this view! With the ponds, flower beds & extensive gardens, & huge mansion, it reminds me a bit of a Jane Austen movie! 🙂 I didn’t take any pictures of the dining room, but during the tour we learned that several movies have been filmed in the house, particularly the dining room.   • You all had quite a tour! So glad you were able to see this grand mansion. Our former church, Grace Church of DuPage in Warrenville, was the site of Mr. McCormick’s grandson’s home. He was an art collector and also was into breeding dogs. When he fell out of favor with his grandfather, Mr. McCormick sold the grandson’s house and property and one of our friends, a wealth;y man, bought the place to start a church. We joined that church soon after it began and when the membership grew, we helped plant a church in DeKalb, which ended up with another church plant in Rockford (Rock Valley Bible Church). Amazing!
