“Draw with Me” Week 45
Hey guys π I’m sorry for not posting last week!!! Time got away from me and I forgot π I’m actually kind of glad I didn’t though because I’ve been working on 5 new characters that I really wanted to share all at once…..and since I didn’t post last week I can do it now π so anyway, let’s go!
First off, this is a comic strip of sorts that I made as a birthday gift for a friend……its a Star Wars/Wingfeather saga crossover. It’s my take on what would happen if the two siblings’ trios met. Up top, we have Janner and Obi-Wan having a serious discussion. Next, Kalmar and Anakin just goofing off. And lastly, Leeli and Ahsoka being sweet and talking about their pets π
And now, a bit of an explanation before I show you my new characters π I came up with these guys 2 Saturdays ago. There are five of them, and they are brothers. But they got split up and didn’t even know the others existed until the events of the story they belong to began to unfold. I’ll explain more as I go π
Starting with the youngest, this is Callian. He’s twelve. When he was just a baby, he was adopted by a nobleman and his wife. Growing up as a nobleman’s son has left him somewhat snobbish and impudent. But he’s not so bad once you get to know him π
Next, this is Callus. He’s fourteen. He was adopted by a carpenter and his wife. When he was 7, he got a terrible virus that almost claimed his life. He survived, but the infection left him blind. He’s a very kind young man and wishes there where more he could do to be helpful. And he does find things he can do, it’s just a bit difficult for others to adjust to him not being able to see.
Next, this is Calag’an. (pronounced Calaghanβ¦.just without the h π ) he’s fifteen. The small village his parents lived in is very poor. However, when his parents died, the whole village took on the responsibility to take care of young Calag’an. He travels from house to house, a different family housing him for a day, or a week at a time. He does odd jobs for everyone in return for his keep (although, the village has told him many times it’s completely unnecessary) the satchel he has holds his writing supplies. The village collectively scrimped and saved up their spare change to buy the satchel and supplies for him, and its his prized possession. They also to a man, taught themselves to read and write so they can communicate with him as he is a mute.
Next, this is Calrin. He’s eighteen. His adoptive father is a shepherd, and Calrin is following in his footsteps. I feel like I need to explain the image a little π€ so he got his arm broken recently, which is why his arm is in a sling. In the drawing, he’s shouting fairly angrily at who was bullying Callus and Calag’an for their disabilities. (Something along the lines of “pick on someone your own size!”) He’s very protective of his newfound younger brothers. And he’s tentatively protective of his older brother……you’ll see why in a second.
This is Cal the oldest at 25…….nothing is known about his past or his family. He has amnesia, Callus, and Callian have come up with several theories as to what happened. They’ve made him out to be incredibly heroic, but the older three have their doubts on that account. (By this, I’m including Cal himself. Most of the stories the boys invented included him getting beat up trying to protect someone, leading to him getting a conk on the head and thus having his memories knocked out…..however, he hasn’t a mark on him. No bruises or scratches at all. So the older three are working on a plausible alternative cause, they hope if they can discover what caused the amnesia they can help him get his memories back.) Although he has no memory, he doesn’t let it bother him too much as he’s too busy trying to help Calrin take care of the others and get them all home safely.
Well, that’s it for today! See you all next week!
