“Draw with me!” (Week Fourteen)
Hey 👋 sooooo…….. It’s been 14 weeks!! Wow……it doesn’t feel like it’s been that long, but in reality, it….kinda has!! Well…anyway….tomorrow is Resurrection Sunday! I hope everyone has a good day with family and friends, and I pray we all keep the reason for the day foremost in our minds.
Allow me to introduce you to Hera Syndulla, Pilot. Code name, specter 2. “mother” of her little squad of castaways, which makes up ‘The Ghost Crew’. Hera is another character from Rebels. She loves to fly and is VERY good at it. She sometimes gets fed up with the antics of her “children” (Zeb and Ezra), but we all know she sees them as her adopted kids and would do anything to keep them safe.
Shhhh……nobody say ANYTHING!! but this is the first draft for Logan’s birthday present 🤫
It’s a storyboard for a “comic strip” I’m making for him!! It’s a bit complicated to explain 😬 especially with these rough stick figures 😅 but I assure you, once I finish it, I’ll explain EVERYTHING.
And this is part of the second draft! (It’s not done yet, lol) I’ll try to explain a bit more with this one.
Box 1. Logan, an Aria from Lo’greya, is looking down at his little sister, Talia, who was bitten by a venomous snake (although at the time, they did not realize this) He is making a decision that will send both Talia and her companion on a wild adventure.
Box 2. Logan is beginning the process of creating a portal. (Portals allow a person to traverse from one location to another in almost a split second, although it puts great strain on the person creating the portal. And because of this, there is usually a rule that only one person can go through at a time.
Box 3. Logan floats above the portal, wings slowly flapping back and forth. (His wings are not what is making him float at the moment. It’s some form of magic created by the portal itself.) Through the portal, can be seen the doors to a medical building.
Box 4. (Ignore the drawing 😭 its a rough draft and is NOT what I intended.) Talia is limp in her companions’ arms (her companion doesn’t have a name yet 😬….I’m up for suggestions!) Her companion is looking down at her worriedly.
Box 5. She looks up at Logan questioningly as he explains that she must take Talia through the portal.
Box 6. She struggles to her feet and then stands, looking into the portal
Box 7. She looks up at Logan as though to argue that they can’t BOTH go through the portal at once because it would be too much strain on Logan and the portal might collapse, with them inside, (this is a VERY bad thing….you don’t want to be inside a portal when it collapses) but Logan commands her to GoOoOoOoOoOo (his voice resonates with power and authority through the clearing)
(A quick summary of the missing boxes)
Box 8. They push through the portal
Box 9. Logan passes out.
Box 10. The portal collapses.
Box 11. Logan crumples to the ground…………

I hope it turns out well because some parts of the rough draft have me worried 😅 but enough about that!
