“Draw with me!” (Week Ten)

Whew! 10 weeks! Alright!! Not doing too badly, we are a fifth of the way through the year!! Already!!!!! Wow…….. how is the time going so fast????????? I have no clue 😅…… but I’m going to get to the drawings now so you don’t have to keep listening to me, babbling 😉

So this is a character from one of my books……again 😅 his name is Aando and I have drawn him a LOT before but not in like………at least 10 weeks because I know I haven’t shared him with you guys yet……don’t really know how that happened because he is probably my favorite character, to write AND to draw 🤷‍♀️ but anyway. In this, I was trying to draw him as more of a cartooney anime-ish style…… I dont think it worked…..it just makes him look a lot younger than he really is…..oh, well… at least it makes him look kinda cute 🥰. Oh, and the bubble blob…uh…things…on his face is actually like, color mottling of his skin…..it would probably look better if I had colored it…….but I didn’t…..maybe next time.

Aaaand #2 Aando again 😂 this time I was trying to make him more realistic since I’ve been practicing with that recently. I have to say……im kinda disappointed in it and a bit embarrassing to share it 😬 but I said I was going to do this, so….I guess im going to go through with it 😮‍💨. My reasons for being disappointed are thus?

1. His eyes are different sizes (why???? Just….agh….why 😑)

2. His neck is too long, (how did that happen????)

3. His jaw is off-kilter

4. His nose is the wrong shape!!!! (I don’t know why this bothers me, but it does 😑😑)

There are other things, but those are the ones that jump out at me when I look at it 🤦‍♀️…….ok….I wanna move on now….let’s go.

#3 uhm…..Aando…..again 🤷‍♀️ along with his young charge Brom, (you might remember him from my 2nd post 😉) on a speeder bike…….I was in the mood to draw Aando and wanted to practice foreshortening on his arm……this is what happened…….I never actually finished the drawing because the whole purpose was to foreshorten his arm 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ buuuuuut yeah……that’s actually pretty much my first attempt at foreshortening in general…so overall I think it went pretty well 🙂

#4 I don’t even have an explanation for this….I was bored …….. interpret it how you will.

Well, that’s it for this week….I do have something I’ve been working on all week, but it’s not finished yet, so I’m going to hold onto it for now. Hopefully, it’ll be done before next Saturday, but no promises! I hope you all have a great week! See you on week 11!
