Family Bible Time

Family Bible Time

Every morning at 7am you will find us in the front room for our Family Bible Time.

This has become a very special time for our family. We spend time talking about The Verse of the Day from the Bible app we use. We welcome everyone’s input & feedback. It’s really fun when lots of people jump in with their thoughts.

Right now we are working our way through “The Book of Proverbs : God’s Book of Wisdom” by Kevin Swanson * (part of the Family Bible Studies Series). It covers just a few verses in Proverbs each day, then the author’s thoughts & a few family discussion questions at the end.

We have in the past gone through a Proverb a day, discussing each verse and we have worked through the book of Job in the same manner. Some days, depending on how long we talk/discuss, we will also read part of Mere Christianity that we are working our way through together.

We always end with singing the Doxology. This is Ellenor’s favorite part – she loves to sing & dance. Sometimes we also sing a hymn. We are currently working on practicing some Christmas hymns to sing at the nursing home in a few months.

Ellenor loves to sing & dance! She knows when Bible time is done & folds her hands and dances around.
Lexa is usually working on a crochet project also, but is helping with Ellenor during this time.
Lucas loves to crochet & is working in a blanket for Emmalyn right now.
Lizzy is working on a crochet project also. We don’t mind the kids working on quiet projects while we are talking
Cuddle time!
