How to keep lettuce fresh longer in the fridge

Since we live in the country, I don’t go to the grocery store very often. I always try to stretch how often I go, as much as possible, to save time & money. But that means needing to stock up on things like lettuce & then trying to keep it fresh for a couple weeks.

The best way I’ve found to do this is put the lettuce in a bread bag (or ziploc bag), put a damp paper towl in with it, then close up the bag & try to squeeze as much air out of the bag as possible.

As a bonus, it also takes up less space in the fridge! 😊
