Keira is 11!
Keira is 11 today!
Keira’s birth story: She was the only one to be born on her actual due date, the first one to be born without being induced – which I had prayed for the entire pregnancy.
God answered my prayers, above & beyond, even to the little details of my own Dr being the one at the hospital that day, so he was able to deliver her (I bawled when I saw that. I hadn’t even dreamed to pray for that, and it just felt like God’s way of blessing me even more abundantly than I could have asked or imagined, if that makes sense).
My Mom had flown in from Papua New Guinea on the 30th & Drew and Sarah had been in town visiting, set to leave the morning of the 3rd. We played games the evening of the 2nd & I laughed so hard (as Drew is good at doing). That evening as I went to bed, I said, “Ok, Lord, NOW I’m ready…” I had hoped to wait until after our time together to give birth.
I woke up at 4:30am the next morning with contractions!! I got up & ate a little, walked around to see if it was real labor or not. By 7am I woke my Mom & Grant & knew we needed to get to the hospital as the contractions were getting intense.
We arrived at 7:30 and Kiera was born at 9:16!! God is good.
Back to Keira…
Keira is excited about turning 11 and being one more year closer to a teenager. 🙂 She LOVES to bake and cook. She enjoys being a part of 4H and practices her baking every week to be ready for the Fair in the summer. She loves playing the piano and is a great big sister.
More pictures tomorrow! 🙂
A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, KIERA. MAY YOU FEEL GOD’S CLOSENESS TO YOU TODAY!
Thank you Mrs Bell! 🙂
