KY Trip Part 1 – Creation Museum Dec 22

KY Trip Part 1 – Creation Museum Dec 22

We decided that since it had been 4 years since we had been to the Ark & Creation Museum that we should go again. While it would have probably been better timing to go in the Spring (I.E…not during the busy holiday season), the light displays are SO amazing there, it was worth it!! I’m so grateful we knew about that & were able to make it happen.

It was cheaper to buy an annual family pass (it often is with a family our size!), so we may go again sometime next year. We made a quick 3-day trip…drove the 6+ hours down, spent about 4 hours at the Creation Museum. The next day we spent all day at the Ark. The 3rd day we spent about 5 hours at the Creation Museum, then drove home. Long days, but very full & wonderful. ❤️

A picture I had taken of everyone when a kind gentleman offered to take one with me in it also. 😀
Ellie was pretty tired after the long day & just wanted to have a ride on Papa’s chair

A beautiful statue in the Creation Museum. A dinosaur display on the left. On the right is a 4D theater.
Ellie & Emma at the 4D theater with the special glasses.

We enjoyed watching both free shows they offered – one about Christmas & one about The 6 days of Creation. So well done! We had never been to any 3 or 4D shows, it was pretty neat!

A few neat signs/displays…

Watching a short movie… Xanna far left, Logan, Lizzy, Lucas, me & Emma. It was too dark to see the rest of the family on the other side of Xanna.
A selfie during the long driving hours.
Ellie decided that hee sandwich needed to be in the picture also. 🤩😂

Playground fun…a nice way to get out some extra energy after so many hours in the van & museum.

The kids discovered they could slide down this astroturf on their coats…haha. It was fun to watch them
Papa even shared his coat for those who didn’t have one, so they took turns with it.
