Lizzy’s Sausage Patties *Recipe*
These sausage patties are something I invented recently.
Take your choice of pork sausage and an onion. (We have used regular, italian & hot sausage. They are all good.) Oregano is optional, but delicious if you like oregano.
If you try to make this, please let me know how you like it!
Chop up onion very fine. (I used a food processor.) Then stir the sausage & onion together. (This is the step you add the oregano if you want it.)
Using a 1/3 Cup measuring cup or a large ice cream scoop, scoop the mixture onto a hot skillet (350° if using an electric skillet) and flatten to desired thickness.
Let it sit until the fat runs out & the sausage looks blotchy brown/red on top, about 5 minutes. (See above picture).
Flip & let sit until all the way done (about 5 more minutes).
Serve with your favorite sides and ENJOY! We like them with shredded hashbrowns & scrambled eggs.
Ingredients:
*1 lb pork sausage (your favorite flavor)
*1 medium onion
*1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)
