Making Banana Chips

We have been using a lot of bananas lately – eating them fresh, Ellie eats them in her pouches each day, we use them in a lot of baking, making banana chips (dehydrated bananas), etc..
So, when I went to Woodmans this week when we were in town for an appt, I bought 5 or 6 bunches to last us a week or so.
After we had paid & were walking out of the store, we noticed they had just put out a couple carts with 99 cent paper bags of bananas. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity, so I bought several bags also (I didn’t take them all! Only a small portion! There were a lot!)
When we got home & the kids were helping to unload the car, they said, “Oh look, bananas!” with the first bag…then found another & another… “Oh, look, more bananas!” (Kind of reminds me of when we moved…”books!” “Oh, wow, more books!” Lol
Anyhow, we took the opportunity to make some more banana chips. We (the kids who did the work, thank you kids!) filled all 3 dehydrators! I wish I had gotten some pictures of them working… too bad. (Yes, it may be weird that we have 3 dehydrators, but we use them a lot! One we’ve had for almost 20 years, a second we got for Christmas maybe 13 years ago & bought a few more trays for & the 3rd is an Excalibur that we bought for about half price a couple years ago. When we get a lot of apples (or bananas!), it’s nice to process them all at once.)
