Mississippi River Museum July 2022 Part 3 – Calliope & more

This Calliope was so fascinating & fun! They plug it in & let it play once a day for about 10 minutes & I was so grateful that we got to hear it! There are a few short videos below the pictures.

The Calliope – Logan, Xanna & Keira watching & listening…I also love the signs up above with a lot of neat facts
You can see the paper roll under the pipes (very similar to a roll for a player piano) – Logan, Xanna, Keira & Emma watching & listening
It was VERY loud! 🙂
So loud! 😬

The kids loved this interactive toy – feeding logs into the boiler

On the way out of the museum – they had these little “trains” – you had to pull the ropes to move your car across the tracks

Emma & Ellie in the left car, Keira & Lucas in the right car
Logan & Lizzy in the background
A map of the whole museum…it was a lot bigger than we expected!
Driving home, we crossed the Mississippi on this huge bridge
