Playing in the Rain August 2022

This past weekend we had some torrential downpours & a lot of flooding. The kids wanted to go play in the water, so as soon as the lightning stopped, I let them go.

A picture of the pouring rain from inside…if you look, you can see a white spot in the middle of the trees…that’s the creek rising! It came about halfway up the hill!!
Getting ready to go play in the water. The creek was flowing pretty quickly, so I asked them to stay together & stay out of the fast flowing currents. (Lexa & Eowyn had already started around the corner)

Fast flowing creek, usually it’s about 3-4 feet deep…it rose probably about 18 feet
