Weekly Gratitude Post 4/12/20 – Resurrection Sunday!
We love celebrating our Lord’s Resurrection. After watching the Passion on Good Friday, and watching and feeling the trepidation of the disciples…
What a relief & amazing, emotional rollercoaster it would have been. What an awesome, providential God we have! We are thankful for His sacrifice for us and His Resurrection!
We know this is a different year than most and many families are not able to celebrate together. We pray that you each have a Blessed Day celebrating our Lord’s Resurrection.
Note: The picture is of a Resurrection Roll… we make them for Easter every year. You make them by putting a marshmallow inside roll dough & when it bakes, the marshmallow melts & leaves a hole in the middle of the roll. This one is interesting, because the marshmallow didn’t melt fully. But I really love it, because I was just reading this morning about the reason behind the folded shroud in the empty tomb…
In that time period, if a master left his napkin wadded up at the table, it meant he was done with his food. If he left the napkin folded, it meant “I’m coming back!” So the significance of the folded shroud in the empty tomb meant Jesus was coming back.
This roll, having part of the marshmallow left, really is a great example of an empty tomb with a folded shroud!
Jesus is coming back! Praise the Lord! We have so much HOPE for the future! Amen!
Also…some missionary friends of ours made a special Easter kids’ message if you’d like to share it with your kids! InFaith Kid’s Easter Service.
