October 2021 Family Funnies

Ellie was making me food at her pretend kitchen & asked me if I wanted an onion (to go with my donut & French fries) 😀 I told her it was actually garlic & yes, please!

So then she says, “OK, I’ll get you some more garlic to go with your tea!” 🤣 Oh yum! 😋

We had a costume potluck & Lucas was dressed up as Batman with a mask & all. He comes up to me & says, “When I wear this mask, there’s moisture coming out of the exhaustion vents (he was sweating behind the eye slits that he was trying to refer to exhaust vents)

We were playing “The Scrambled States of America” & Lexa was calling the cards. One of them said “Which State is showing only 1 Eye?” (It’s a Geographical game about the US…the caller calls out different characteristics of each “State Card” that range from color to location, State, Capital & Nicknames.)

Logan raised his hand first & won that card, so he was supposed to send in the State card to get his reward card for it & hadn’t done it.

Lexa says, “I need Logan’s Eye!” 🤣🤣

Ellie was drinking some Water next to me & really noisy. I said, “Wow, you are really noisy right now!”

She says, “It’s the cup!” 🤣

After the pregnancy & loss the past 2 months, my hair was feeling limp & needing a good trim. I asked Lizzy if she’d be willing to trim it for me & she was.

Ellie came in while Liz was trimming my hair & she says, “Mommy’s gonna miss her hair!!!

“I’ll get the crash can for you!”

During Bible time one morning, the dog was barking loudly outside & we looked to see what was going on. Someone asked about the chickens & Xanna said, “They’re pretty chill.”

Lucas pipes in with, “It is pretty chilly out!”

We were in the car for the 2 1/2 hour car ride home after a long day of driving & visiting the Shedd Aquarium. Ellie was tired & I was trying to keep her happy.

I said playfully, “Okey, dokey, artichokey!”

Confused, she says, “What?”

I say it again more slowly for her. She repeats,

“Okey chokey?” 😁🤣
