Its the first weekend in October, which means it’s Ye Olde Faire at Stronghold Castle in Oregon. We really enjoy going & try to make it each year.

At Dimitri the Mage’s magic show – at The Russian Encampment. One of our favorites! Sadly, we missed their danger show due to rain

Logan got a huge welt right by his eye when he tried out the whip at the Russian Encampment! The picture really didn’t do it justice! (A good picture of Stronghold Castle in the background also!)
Trying borscht for the first time – they all really enjoyed it & Lizzy wants to try to make it. We spent a lot of time at this Russian encampment & we were told that borscht can be varied, but always has beets, potatoes & cabbage. Any other meat & veggies can change, be optional, etc.
