Costco vs Sam’s Club (vs Amazon??…)

We recently got a Costco near us (Yes, it’s an hour away. Yes, that’s “Near!”) I have to admit I have been SO excited! I’ve heard for years about how awesome it is, but never wanted to drive 2 hours each way to find out. It’s bad enough we regularly drive 1 hour for shopping!!

But, now, here’s the dilemma!! Where do I shop? Costco? Sam’s Club? Aldi? Woodmans? Any of the many local grocery stores (we LOVE supporting the community!) I don’t have time to shop at ALL the stores! And let’s face it – we still love the convenience of Amazon!

So, the research has begun… which store has the best deals?

So far, here’s what I’ve found: As much as I’d LOVE to have a concrete list of each item I buy regularly & where is the best place to buy it (which I AM still working on), the truth is that SALES make all the difference. Monthly Instant savings at one store make an item the best price for that time, but the normal best price could be different.

We currently have memberships to both Sam’s & Costco, but when the Sam’s one expires in a couple months, I want to be prepared with whether it’s worth it to keep.
