September 2022 Family Funnies
**Sorry for the unexplained blog absence! We needed to take a few weeks off. Thanks for understanding! 😀 Hope you enjoy some laughs today! 🙂**
Ellie: “Can you find me some pants, please?”
Me: “Oh, I just found these pink sweatpants for you!”
Ellie: “I love sweatpants! They’re nice & sweaty & not cold!”
Me: “Ellie, did you ask if you could blow those bubbles right now?”
Ellie: “I’m just ‘make-suring’ they work!”
Ellie: “Mama, what are you eating?”
I showed her & she says, “I can smell it…through your ears!” 🤣
Ellie was at home with Xanna while Grant & I were at a monthly meeting & Lizzy had takenbthe other kids to air rifle.
Ellie pulled down her sunglasses to the end of her nose and said, “Do you know who I am? I’m Daddy! With falling down glasses!” 🤣 (Sometimes when it’s hot, Grant’s glasses slide down a bit)
A funny from 2015:
We watched “Big Red” – a 1962 movie that I have fond memories of watching when I was growing up. I loved sharing it with my family & seeing their enjoyment & excitement. Now they all want a dog. ❤️
After the movie was done, I asked Lucas (almos 5) if he enjoyed it. His eyes lit up & he says, “Yes! Can we get a dog now? Are they very expensive?”
I said, “Yes, they are expensive.” He thinks a minute & says “I think I have that much in my piggy bank.” So I tell him that we hope to move someday & we can get a dog then.
Huge, excited, bright eyes & Lucas responds with: “We can all put our money together & pay the tax collectors & they’ll give us our dog!” 🤣 (And, it’s very special that we now have a dog! 💙)
Lucas sprained his ankle & had it wrapped. We were getting ready to go walk in a parade & I’m asking him if it would help to wear his shoe with it being wrapped.
Lucas: “I tried that, it gets too hot!”
M: “It’s going to be cooler outside, though.”
Lucas: “Until it gets hot!”
