January 2024 Family Funnies
During Bible time one morning:
“It’s Friday…whose day is that?”
Lucas: “Where are the chicken nuggets?”
“Um, what & why?”
“Well, if you have fries, shouldn’t you have nuggets with them?” 😅😆
Child whose day it is…several minutes later….”OOOH! It’s Friday! It’s my day.” LOL (they completely missed the whole previous conversation)
Ellie: “Mama, you’re the best cooker ever! I’ve made up my mind & I’m NEVER leaving you! You make the best food ever!” 🥰🤩
Me: “Aww, you’re so sweet, my Ellie Bear! Thank you! And thank you for being my big helper!”
A few minutes later….
Ellie: “Except…if you teach me how to cook…and then I can cook the most delicious food for you!”
A few minutes later…
Ellie, as she’s stirring veggies to go with Italian sausages for dinner: “I think they’ll say we’re the best cooks ever!” ❤️ 🤩🥰💕
We were watching “Facing the Giants” & they were talking about how far they threw the football.
Ellie says, “I could throw that farther than them!”
Grant & I: “UM….How far do you think you can throw?”
Ellie: “100 meters!”
“I don’t quite think you know what 100 meters is like!”

Ellie tried to take a bite of some leftover sourdough garlic bread.
Ellie: “WHAT? Are you trying to break my teeth?” 😅 (she didn’t expect it to be so hard)
Ellie was cuddling with me as I’m trying to finish my dinner…
Me: “Do you want a bite of my dinner? It’s spicy!”
Ellie: “I don’t like spicy!”
Me: “You used to sit with me every meal & share my food & you loved the spicy!!”
Ellie: 😳🤷♀️🤪🤯
Ellenor has always loved eating dates. Over the holidays, we made some prosciutto wrapped, goat cheese stuffed dates.
Ellie, taking her 2nd plate to her table, “My tummy liked these! I have a ‘tummy-liked food!'” (Which, for the record, she has always been a fantastic eater….she didn’t eat anything solid until she was 1, then pretty much whatever I offered her…small bits of what we were eating…she devoured.)
Me, listing off items we were eating for dinner: “We have some yummy romanesco….”
Logan: “Some Roman fiasco?”😆
