Making Homemade Foaming Soap

We have been “making” our own soap refills for many years. It’s super easy & cost effective. I buy the Castile soap by the gallon (which lasts forever!)

Lizzy refilling our soap containers

I have found that it works best to fill the soap dispenser about 1/4 of the way with water first, then add 1 Tbsp of the Castile Soap, about 10 drops of essential oils (optional, but it adds a nice fragrance & if you use oils like peppermint, tea tree, or an immunity blend, it helps kill more germs, bacteria, viruses, etc.), then gently fill the rest of the dispenser with water (make sure you don’t overfill, because there needs to be room for the top to go back in, so leave about an inch at the top). Screw the top back on & gently swirl/shake. Once in a while you may need to shake it up if it starts to separate, it depends on how quickly you use it.

I did buy a starter pack of the dispensers to begin with, & them just refill them weekly.
