Family Funnies – September 2019
Need some good laughs?? Here are some funnies that I couldn’t miss sharing! I’m laughing out loud just typing these up!
These are from the past few months, there’s more coming soon. 🙂
Ellenor got into the bag of googly eyes and had one in her mouth and a handful in her playpen.
I got out as many as I could find & said, “Well, I think I got them all, but I can’t tell for certain!”
Someone else pipes up with: “Well, you’ll know in a day or two if her poop is staring back at you!”
E: “No, it tastes like disgusting candy!”

Miss Emmalyn:
- “Mom, I have the most pleasant news! All the laundry was in the basket – none on the floor – especially underwear!”
- Trying to remember a quote from a presentation the kids did at co-op last year: “My parents were born in the 1918!”, then she looks at me, “Is that right, Mom?” Lol 👵👴 “Um, I think you mean the 1970s!
- E: “My macaroni tastes like it has candy in it!
E: “No, it tastes like disgusting candy!”
Lucas – I love how he says “apparently” so much!:
- “Apparently she ‘burgled’ from my bag & took a fish stick!!” (talking about Ellenor)
- “Mom, apparently I found your ‘finger paint’ on the floor of my bathroom!!!” (Keira had been painting her nails & had left the nail polish behind)
- “Hey guys, take a gander out there on the deck!”
A conversation with one of the kids after they had been sent to bed about a half hour prior:
Unnamed Child: “I have 2 owies on 2 toes on 2 feet!”
Parent #1: “So sorry. 2 late. 2 past your bedtime. 2-daloo!”
Parent #2 : “2-morrow we will look at your 2 owies on 2 toes on your 2 feet. We talked to you 22 minutes ago & it is 2 late for you to be out of bed!”
(Please note we do not normally “blow off” our kids – but this was an ongoing occurence & the child was fine all day long, so we had a bit of fun…we did follow up.)
