April 2021 Family Funnies

Ellenor uses all sorts of typical 3 year old bedtime stall tactics. She is particular about which blanket she wants on her, or if she will tuck herself in, or if she’ll let me… it’s always different.

Tonight I’m “playing along” & finally get her settled, as well as her animal, doll, etc…

I say goodnight and start to leave & she asks about Rabby. I reassure her that I’ve tucked Rabby & her baby doll in with their scarf, AND I even made sure their faces weren’t covered (a common complaint).

She says, “OK, you can go now.” 🤣🥰

We were watching a movie that was pretty low budget.

Lexa says, “Mom, I don’t think this fits in with our diet! It’s so cheesy!” 🤣😂

I had been gone 11 hours one day, taking a couple kids to appts downtown Chicago. Picked up Rotisserie chickens from Costco on the way home & we’re sitting down to eat dinner at 7pm (we usually eat at 5!)

Grant says, “I’m hungry!”

We had already prayed & the kids had started eating. Ellie (3) puts a bite in her mouth & says, “Try eating!” 🤣

Ellie brought me a folded up piece of newspaper with a rubber band on it. She says, “Look what I made!”

I ask her what it is & she says, “A Ramber Bed!” (How she says rubber band) 🤣

“Mama, are we going to sort the laundry by ourselves-es?”

Ellie brought me a rolled up, taped piece of paper & says, “Open it!” I struggled with it for a minute, trying not to rip the paper & finally say, “Wow, how much tape did you put on this?”

Ellie says, “Plenty!” 🙄🤪😁

Ellie calls onions “nonions”
