In the past 24 hours, we have had all the chickens (about 40) escape and 3 of the bunnies (out of 9) escape out of their cages. Eh…such is life with animals!! Thankfully we noticed them in time to be able to catch them all.

Xanna had 7 projects & Showmanship entered & received 1 Champion, 1 Reserve Grand Champion, 2 reserve Champion, 1 Honorable Mention, 1 Top of Class & the rest were all blue ribbons. She was chosen as a State delegate for her Creative Writing (Communications category)

We love having our chickens & yes, that means fresh eggs. We haven’t bought eggs in a long time. We purchased chicks 2 years ago, & it took a full year to start getting eggs, but for the past year we’ve enjoyed collecting fresh eggs

We have had chickens for over 2 years, but this has been our first year to incubate eggs & hatch our own instead of purchasing them. It has been such a neat experience for our family & everyone is always excited by the new chickens.
