February 2023 Family Funnies
Lexa & I were talking about color choices for my Mother of the Bride dress. After we talked about a certain color, she says,
“I like it. Old & wise!”
I laugh & say “I’m not THAT old!!”
Lexa: “Not excruciatingly old!” 🤣🤭
Ellie: “Hey, Mom, can you dance your head, like this?” 🤣 (Bopping her head around to some music).
“I should have some glasses on; it’s pretty shiny out there!” (Ellie on a bright, sunny morning). ❤️
I got called “old” by a family member. (We were given some dresses & I tried one on & realized it had shoulder pads, which tells it’s age, but also mine apparently. 😅)
Me: “Hey! I’m not old!”
“You’re a classic. There’s nothing wrong with classics!”
Me: “Well, at least it’s better than vintage.”
“You do remember those bristle blocks you had as a child & bought a decade ago as vintage toys…”
🤣🙄 (also…the number of old age jokes lately!!…next time I will remind said “child” of the many times we get called sisters!!) 😁🙃😜😬🫢🤣 😉
Me to Ellie (who had a runny nose for days & a raw nose): “I need to put the cream under your nose.”
Ellie. “Wait till tonight, please! It makes my nose stretch out and get bigger and bigger!”🤪🤣
Ellie & Emma were talking about whose night it was to have Dewdrop. Emma excitedly mentioned it was her night.
Ellie says, “Can you put the days in order for me?”
Emma: “Sunday, Monday, Tuesday…”
Ellie: “No! Whose day in order!”
Lol. I just love how she thinks & talks. She figures out how to say something even when she’s not sure! (And I love how the kids have figured out a system to share their favorite kitty…who’s not such a kitty anymore!) 😻
