How is it already 2023!!??!!?? 😳
Ellie amazed me by counting backwards the other day. I hadn’t ever worked with her on it, so I didn’t know she knew how. I figured maybe she had seen it in a movie, so I asked her, “Where did you learn how to count backwards?”
She says, “In my mind!”
“Mama, how many minutes until ‘soon’ is over?” 🤣 (I was using my phone to look for a recipe & Ellie had asked me if she could text Opa & Oma. I had told her “soon” several minutes earlier….)
Ellie: “Can you please help me find my sock pants?”
Me: “Do you mean soft pants?”
E: “No, you know…the pants with socks at the bottom that Emma gave me!” (Tights, which apparently she hasnt worn in a couple years b/c leggings are so much better under dresses. I had forgotten that ahe calls them sock pants) ❤️
Lexa was doing spelling with the younger kids & Ellenor wanted to participate also. Ellie comes in excitedly to tell me after they’re done, “I did my spelling & she graded it & I got 3 percent!!!” (She’s jumping up & down & clutching her notebook full of scribbles). So cute.
Grant & I were not at home & I did a Duo Call with the kids. The 3 youngest girls were all hovering over the phone & I said, “I can see up a lot of noses!!”
Ellie says, “That’s because you have a LOT of kids!!” 🤣😘
