An Outfit for The Little One

I love to sew! I am not that great at it, but I know enough to muddle my way through… haha.
I’ve been working on this outfit for Ellie for months. I cut out the pattern in April & had the fabric. I started cutting out the fabric & started sewing in June. So, as you see, it takes me a long time to get projects like this done, which is why it’s such an accomplishment. 😊
It’s a bit too big at the top, so I may try to add some ties to it. But Ellie loves it & that makes me happy. (She was so excited she wouldn’t stand still for a picture!)

When McKaylee was little, Grant’s cousin gave us a cute little dress with bloomers that another cousin had made for her daughter. It was a favorite outfit for several of our girls, including Ellie, so I went looking for a similar pattern. I ended up getting a pattern with several options & tweaked it a bit (to make the dress longer & add pockets, but no bows. The bows would have been cute, but I find that they never stay nice looking & I didn’t want something that needed to be ironed all the time). If I make it again, I’ll add a tie, which I think would add a lot.
So darling! Nice work!
Thank you! 😊
