4 years!
Hard to believe we’ve been here for 4 years already! Time flies!
When we first moved in, we would wake up & step out on the back deck, enjoying the beauty, & wonder when we were going to get kicked out (like at a resort…) We still definitely enjoy & appreciate the beauty!!
While this property has been something of a blessing, it also has been a burden. It is often overwhelming, there is just so much to take care of, repair, etc…
While our kids definitely love the opportunities afforded by being able to run free, have multiple animals, etc., it is also a TON of work keeping it all up.
We choose to see it as a blessing, but we wouldn’t mind moving someday (surprisingly), as we felt we would be here forever when we moved in 4 years ago!
Hello! Fellow large family mom from Indiana. We had homeschooled and lived out on 15 acres . It was beautiful. Like your description, it was a blessing yet overwhelming. We decided to move closer in town as we had enrolled in a small Christian school . I do miss the slowness and beauty of country life . I hope one day we may move or build on a a smaller parcel somewhere. I have learned life is all about season .
Thank you for commenting! It was a blessed season! We recently sold it & have moved to a different State & are now in town on 2 acres …quite different & we miss the country. But, we’re in a new season & on a new adventure! Blessings to you!
