Cleaning the Instant Pot

We discovered a neat trick the other day. We had cooked some meat in the instant pot & it had a lingering smell. We wanted to make some applesauce in it without the smells mixing.

We put about 1/2 – 1 cup of vinegar in it & turned on the saute function. I put the lid on loosely to let it essentially steam in the vinegar.

After about 5 minutes, I turned it off. We dumped the vinegar on some weeds we didn’t want (everything should have multiple uses, you could also pour it down a drain to help clean it out, or use it for other cleaning!) & used a rag to wipe down the inside of the pot…even got rid of a couple stubborn stains as a bonus!!
