“Draw with Me” 1/27/24

Hey guys!!! I’m sorry I missed last week 🫠 I only had one finished project to share, and I COULDN’T share it because it was a gift and she has her spies everywhere 👀🕵‍♀️ anyway, I didn’t finish any projects this week either so you’ve still only got that one 🤷‍♀️ drawing might be a bit slow for a while but anyway, enough about that! Here’s the portrait I drew!

This is a portrait of my soon-to-be-born niece 🥰 but of course…..ya’ll need a bit of an explanation 😅 so most of you probably know already, but her dad is a squirrel, he can litterally make the most convincing squirrel sounds ever…… like I had never heard a squirrel before? So I just thought it was cool when i met him….. but this past spring, I was walking outside and a squirrel yelled at me from its drey (a Squirrel’s nest for those of you who don’t know/are curious 😄) and I could have sworn it was Mike…….. it was really cool. Anyway, I’m off topic 😅 so he’s a squirrel. My sister is a Lemur (I don’t actually know how that started? But I’m pretty sure her husband had something to do with it 🤭) so when I found out they were pregnant, I had this idea about a species on one of my planet’s which is a mix between squirrels and lemurs…. I call them Sqleemurs…. and originally, I was going to wait for their first family photo with the baby, draw them all as sqleemurs, and give the portrait to them for their anniversary……however, when I got to see her ultrasound, Lucy’s cheeks were so cartoonishly chubby 🥺 I couldn’t resist……. it was so cute, she’s adorable, she’s going to be an adorable baby……. I can’t wait to hold her 🥰 so anyway, reaaaaally long story 😅 sorry about that 🥲 in short, baby squirrel lemur, has a poliosis patch around her eye (she gets it from her dad 😁) is adorable 👍👍
