Family Dinners

I LOVE watching Blue Bloods. I have always enjoyed Tom Selleck…I think it first stemmed from watching “The Sacketts” when I was growing up (an old western movie by Louis L’Amour – a great movie!!)

Back to Blue Bloods…I love their idea of Sunday dinners… “come rise or high water!” is what they always say. Every Sunday the family gathers for a meal – Grandpa (the retired police chief), Dad (Tom Selleck, who is the city’s current police chief), the 3 grown kids (The 2 brothers work on the police force also & the sister works for the district attorney’s office), and their kids. They also pray before each meal, which is rare for TV these days! ❤

I hope that one day when my kids are all grown that we will be able to so something similar. We already do a big meal every Sunday & enjoy a family day with games & fellowship and it’s so special. 🥰💜
