Making an Ancient Scroll

Making an Ancient Scroll

In one of Logan’s history books, it taught him how to make an ancient Scroll. He wanted to make one for McKaylee for her birthday, with Psalm 113-118 printed on it.

It was a fun process.

First you make a strong “pot” of tea.

Then you crumple the paper you want to “age” & let it soak in the tea for at least a few minutes, until it turns the shade that you want it to turn.

Lay the pages out on an old towel or rag to let them dry out. Once they are dry, you can do what you want with them.

We had 7 pages, so we taped them together with clear packing tape, then taped the pages to 2 empty paper towel tubes, so it can be rolled up as a scroll.

Part of the scroll….we printed & taped together 7 pages & then taped the pages to the paper towel tubes.
