The Power of A Smile

There is something to be said about the power of a smile. It can brighten people’s day, bring smiles to other people, but there are times you really have to be intentional about it.

Why is it so easy to put on a smile when you meet with friends, talk to strangers, etc… but in our everyday, it’s not natural to just have a smile stayed on our face?

I know I’m guilty of it! It’s hard & you really have to be intentional about it. It’s something I am often convicted about & strive to work on. I want my family & loved ones to get my best, not only the strangers I randomly meet.

I was again reminded of this last week while Grant & I were away for a few days, as I put a smile on to ride down the elevator & made it a point to say hello & talk with all the hotel staff I came across. It was a good reminder to me to also make it a priority while I’m at home, busy with the every day. 😊

  • It’s especially hard when we’re wearing masks and noone can see the smile. I need to keep reminding myself to smile with my eyes also!
