Making Burritos in Bulk – Freezer Cooking

Grant loves Burritos. As a family we do a lot of Tostadas right now (easier to accommodate GF, DF). So I made up a bunch of Burritos for the freezer & it works great to pull one out on the day we’re doing Tostadas & reheat it in the oven.

This would make a great freezer meal for a family also!

Lay out all the ingredients you want & lay out foil squares for each burrito that you’re going to fill.

Put a tortilla on each piece of foil
We put refried beans, Spanish rice, sour cream & cheese
Then add some scrambled eggs & whatever type of meat…
This time we used chicken & add a sprinkle of hot sauce
Then you fold the bottom end of the tortilla & roll the burrito up
Put the rolled burrito in the corner of the foil
And wrap & tuck the foil around the burrito
Tada!
Freezer Burritos for the win!

When you’re ready, reheat (wrapped in the foil still) in the oven at 375 for 20-30 minutes.

  • Pork belly are the very best. Although steak is a close second. Just remember it’s not about what you put in. It’s about the ratio of what you put in.
