Making Indian Flatbread (GF, DF options)

I love cooking and baking equally. But, my favorite thing to cook is “Indian Flatbread.”

You put 2 C of flour and 1/4 top salt in a bowl. Add 2 Tbsp oil & 1/2 C water. Stir and then add another 1/2 C water.

Divide into 12 servings. Roll each portion out like a tortilla. Put in a heated skillet with a little oil (not too much or they’ll be greasy!) Flip when they start to turn brown & take them out when both sides are browned.

This is one of the cheapest things I know how to cook or bake! I got the recipe from our 4H cookbook.

Ingredients:

*2 C flour

*1 C water, divided in half

*2 Tbsp oil

*1/4 tsp salt

Mix all the ingredients together to form a ball.
Divide into equal portions & roll out each ball between parchment paper or silicone mats
Fry them lightly in oil until they are golden brown on both sides.
