The Power of Sleep

I was reminded recently how important & restorative sleep is!

Ellenor has been sleeping very well lately, but for some reason she was up for 3 hours the other night (during a very busy week).

I woke up feeling like I had been run over by a truck. So, so thankful that this is not the norm anymore! I still do deal with insomnia some, but thankfully it’s not every night like it used to be.

Sleep just is so important & necessary to restore & heal and keep us healthy!

Just a good reminder to take care of yourself by getting the rest you need. (I know this is harder for some than others & I know many deal with insomnia. I’m sorry!)

If you can, have a normal bedtime routine, a normal bed time & wake time and give your body the rest it needs. Even if you don’t sleep all night, continuing to lie still & rest does help some. I like to spend time praying if I’m lying awake at night – no distractions, it’s quiet & it even puts me back to sleep sometimes. 😀
